In this post, let me explain how to export VMware virtual machine to OVF format, then import on VirtualBox.

If you are testing or migrating from VMware to Virtual PC 2007 or Hyper-v, then this post will be helpful to convert VMDK files to VHD with StarWind V2V image converter. Since VMDK files cannot be opened in MS virtualization products, it must be converted to  (Virtual Hard Disk) format which MS uses. This is just an add on update for my previous post Install Mac Snow Leopard in VMware Player. I couldn’t test the earlier method in AMD processor computer. After several days with some user comments, this post shows how to install Mac Snow Leopard on AMD PC by same VMware Image.

The boot loader came with this download works with Intel 32 Bit host only. To run SL in AMD PC, we need different boot loader. Thanks to Santosh for mentioning it.

As expected, new version of desktop virtualization product released from VMware after release of Oracle VirtualBox 3.2.  VMware workstation and VM Player are updated and latest versions available for download. I always compare VM player with VB because of both products are free for home users.

Latest version of VMware Player 3.1 is having small changes noticeably to compete with VirtualBox 3.2.

This post helps you to increase Mac OS X Leopard Virtual machine screen resolution in side VMware Player and workstation. The big advantage of this method is it supports multiple screen resolutions and wide screen Mac OS X support also.

There is a manual method to increase Mac virtual machine screen size, which is mentioned here. This method allows getting only one screen resolution at a time and wide screen resolution is not supported.

Are you running Snow Leopard on Intel or AMD Computers by any of the desktop virtualization software VMware or VirtualBox? Then this post will be helpful to increase screen resolution size of Snow Leopard Virtual Machine to get full screen.
